Grand Caynon July 2003

My 2003 travels in the US lasted nearly a month and we travelled from DC to Kansas, to Las Vegas and finally Chicago. If I had to pick a favourite place, I would have to say the Grand Caynon. A 6am start and a 5 hour drive, we arrived at the Grand Caynon (the West rim), photos really can't capture how vast it is- but I think this gives you an idea.

Kansas 2003

We spent a week in a town called Lawrence in Kansas http://www.visitlawrence.com/. When we arrived, we couln't believe the country feel from it. It was so different from the other places we had visited- we arrived here after a weekend in DC. It had had one main street with stores and cafes which were quite funky. Unfortanetly we didn't find Dorothy or Toto!

I can't take credit for any of the photos I am going to show, my fellow traveller was charged with the photo-taking responsibilities. This photo was taken in DC on a sunny afternoon and we thought that this would make a great photograph!
